Hi Joel. Thanks for your message and welcome to Wikipedia. The reason I took down the article was because it stated it was not available for commercial use. This sort of restriction is not allowed on Wikipedia. All text needs to be released under the terms of the GFDL. This means that you are still the copyright holder, but other people can use the text how they like, which includes making commercial use of it. If you are happy for the text to be used in this way, and you understand that you can't restrict commercial use, please let me know. You can learn more about editing here from the Wikipedia tutorial. Thank you!
[edit]Hi Angela!
Thank your for your prompt reply!
I do now understand the point regarding the GFDL license.
I'm fully ok with it. Thanks also for the useful link :)
What shall I do to have my contribution released now? (guess I just need to remove this "not for commercial use" sentence, right?)
Kindest regards,
Joel
- That's great. I've returned your article, without the last line about it not being for commerical use. You may want to wikify the article by adding some links. By the way, you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~). Angela. 11:14, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
Unverified images
[edit]Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 21:14, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.
