Is it fair to attribute Groucho Marx-style puns and coinages to Abraham Shlonsky? He was the subject of my latest article translation because I think translators are important, as in List of translators#Hebrew translators (I didn't put any low-profile Wikipedians on that list :-). Was leering part of Shlonsky's chosen persona?? I don't know. I didn't notice your suggestion about Hanoch Levine until now. I'll take a look. Hoziron 14:09, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Shlonsky is considered a humorist and a punster, but I don't think "leering" is part of his persona - though to be honest, I'm not quite sure what you mean by leering. There was certainly innuendo in his writing, but not of a malicious order, I think. Not that I know that much about Shlonsky! OK, now I see what you mean by "leering". אני משתמש בויקיפדיה העברית וגם אני סובל המון מצנזורה שמה, לדוגמא תירגמתי הערך "רחוב החלונות האדומים" מהויקיפדיה האנגלית לעברית - הם החליטו שאין לערכים העלה מקום - חסמו אותי ומחקו לי את הערכים פעם אחרי פעם. גילגמש וההנהלה של הויקיפדיה העברית לא בדיוק פועלים ב"רוח ויקיפדיה". דוגמא קיצונית לכך הוא שעם החליטו שאסור לכתוב על ערכים של פורנוגרפיה, אפילו הם החליטו למחוק את הערכים "גרון עמוק" ו"פריס הילטון" אבל לאחר מאבק ממושך הצלחתי להכניע אותם. כאות תודה הם אפילו פלשו לשטח הפרטי שלי כלומר לדף המשתמש שלי, מחקו אותו ושמו עליו הגנה.

אגב אני משתמש ותיק בויקיפדיה וכתבתי כ-60 ערכים חדשים שמה שכן נאשרו.

הבקשה שלי היא שתיפני לג'ימי ווילס בתור מפעילת מערכת ותספרי לו את זה כי לי הוא לא יאמין. בתודה מראש.

ולהוכיח שהוא עוד לא למד את הלקח תראי את השיחה הבאה שהוא כתב למשתמש מוערך שקוראים לו עדן קוגן שכתב 60 ערכים בנושא העולם הקדמון, גילגמש רב איותו בגלל ויכוח על תוכנית השגריר והחליט להתנכל לו ולחסום אותו ללא סיבה מוצדקת

Sorry, I saw your message only today. I don't think the extent of the vandalism justifies page protection, protection should be a temporary measure to keep off a barrage of attacks. I will however keep an eye on the anonymous IP's that have been vandalising your and other pages. If you feel firmer action should be taken, keep in mind that at present I am only entering Wikipedia once or twice a week, perhaps a more active administrator will give you more assistance. --Woggly 10:45, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Rejection of Tanakh

Hi, Since you are an experienced editor who has edited articles about acting in the past, I'm asking if you could take a look at this AfD regarding Jason Bennett. This article was posted by an editor who claims that Bennett is one of the great acting teachers, but to me it sounds like an advertisement. Since I am not an actor I am only able to judge based on the claims the article makes - I cannot find ANY third-party sources regarding his notability, only listings in commercial directories of acting schoools. I'd feel bettr if the AfD was reviewed by editors with more experience in acting. If you have the time, and feel so inclined, your vote and comment would be appreciated. The WikiProject main page is not a thing of beauty right now. I'm hoping for input from other project members, both to do the tasks and reorganize the page.
