Films table
[edit]The table in the films table does not sort properly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elhenzo (talk • contribs) 18:52, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Don't remove the entire table then to make a point. Your edit has been reverted. Nate • (chatter) 23:51, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Table is a monster. It needs to be split. I'll attempt to do it soon.
- From the example of other articles like List of Pixar films a separate table for Critical response seems like a good idea. -- 37.110.218.43 (talk) 10:29, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Well, adding 'more unneeded columns to the table certainly didn't help. Enough. We have articles about each film. Stop adding data atop data. Why do we even need a critical response section in the first place? These are kid's films, not the Criterion Collection. Nate • (chatter) 20:13, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
- The other IP removed columns from the big table and created another smaller table. Other animation studio articles list the Critical response for their films. If there is a general policy against these list and you were trying to removing them from more than just this article it would be somewhat understandable, but your deletes here seem arbitrary and inconsistent. Show another article like Sony Pictures Animation or Blue Sky Studios or List of Pixar films where you are removing the equivalent information, or making the articles more consistent.
- As for them being "kids films" that's just intellectual snobbery, a good story is a good story. -- 109.76.148.130 (talk) 14:38, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- I don't look at those articles, merely this one, because Nick articles have a history of taking on too much cruft. Frankly those studio articles should have the same de-crufting done if they're also loaded down with duplicative information. Readers come here to learn about the studio and the basics about the films. If they want to know more, the articles provide nice links to much more information which is more balanced than 'here's seven tables', and there's no snobbery involved, just trying to keep things straight and easy to read for anyone 2-82. It remains out. Nate • (chatter) 20:51, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't add anything, I only moved it out of the big table into a smaller table. I don't care if he deletes it, but I do agree he should try and get other articles to do the same thing, or get the film project or list project to help. Editors can look back at the old table which was way too big, and had too many colors, and look at the smaller table I split out. Maybe it will be useful later if someone wants to cleanup this article and create a separate

I feel like The Film Article Section should have A Separate Article for themselves. Just like Dreamworks Animation and Dreamworks Pictures does anyone know how to make a separate article for That Section? Madpaak (talk) 01:15, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Should we divide the Netflix/Paramount+ films into a separate section?
[edit]Hi. I have a proposal for a simple editing, but would like to discuss it before doing anything to make final confirmation. The proposal is, should the Netflix/Paramount+ films be divided into a new section as streaming movies, titled "Streaming films"? Since they are released on streaming, financial information is not likely to be recorded. If there's any objections, please message me back. Thank you. Animawiki29 (talk) 19:13, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
- No. It's just how it is. Akhil K. (talk) 04:06, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
