Why?
[edit]Why do people get so much wrong about this band? Oh well, atleast it gives me something to do in my otherwise un-eventful little life!
~ Doktor Wilhelm 15:12, 05 Sep 2006
Not to be taken seriously
[edit]Should it be noted here that the themes portayed in the music are satire, or just general jokes? Some people seem to believe it's real, and judge them as necrophiliacs, among other things.
I agree, most of the lyrics are said with definate comedic intentions which really does not come across in the article- its kind of missing the point.
Not worth the effort
[edit]This band is a joke. Ahem'--Matt von Furrie 09:19, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Why?
[edit]There are so many people that know such little about a band but seem to think of them selves as knowing everything (this counts for every single band ever)! Most of the entry for the Murderdolls on here was slightly wrong (though I fear I may have only bastardised it farther with my 'contribution')*sighs*

Love At First Fright...was it a single???
[edit]I am unsure if their song "Love At First Fright" was a single or just a song on their album. Could someone please clear this up for me???

Supposedly in Japan only, there is however a video for it. (a compilation of clips from live shows and backstage) - Deathrocker 05:41, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I haven't seen the video for it, I just noticed it was on another website as a single.

[edit]Someone added a murderdolls myspace page, it's not offical, they don't even have one. Wednesday 13 does tohugh, along with one for FDQ13 and for his solo efforts.
Nu-metal?
[edit]Whoever listed the Murderdolls Genre as nu-metal must be having a laugh?
I really think they should look nu-matal up on here!!! . o O (How much else must be wrong on Wikipedia?) Doktor Wilhelm 03:26, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:BeyondMurderdolls.jpg
[edit]Image:BeyondMurderdolls.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Murderdolls' Genre
[edit]Come on, no band should have the million genres that the Murderdolls had in their infobox. I've cut it down to Horror Punk and Heavy Metal as this sums up their style and their level of heaviness. They aren't Hard Rock, that means proper rock like AC/DC and Led Zep. Glam metal, yeah but that's more an influence than their actual genre. And why does Horror Punk keep getting moved down to last place on the list? Because they only have horror influence? Let's face it, there are so few Horror Punk bands that any could represent the genre. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.29.160 (talk) 15:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest change of Horror punk to Shock rock, which reflects their genre better. Horror punk presumes playing punk rock. Garret Beaumain (talk) 18:13, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- Murderdolls is an alternative metal band with influences of Horror
Punk, Hard Rock Shock Rock and musically elements taken Actual as Riff Metal bands typical of Alternative and Nu Metal Metal tailored style and Shock Horror Punk Rock, his last work sounds more focused on keeping the groove metal band influences as Alice Cooper, Mottley Clue and Misfits to name a few.--Staybrutal666 (talk) 23:19, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Tracklisting
[edit]I'm removing the bit about the tracklisting as it takes up lots of space and, to be honest if people want to know it they should check the albums page. Thanks. -Ottsworth (talk) 16:10, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Removal of topics the Murderdolls mentioned in their songs.
[edit]174.29.145.144 removed several of topics mentioned as being in Murderdolls lyrics from the article, stating: "The three removed topics they supposedly cover are rubbish and have no recognition in any of the bands lyrics", But they do cover these topics:
- necrophilia:
- Song Title: She Was A Teenage Zombie
- Lyric: "Not a necrophilliac, I guess I was bored" (he only did it because he was bored) and "I took her in the back-seat" (which is euthanism for for having sex in the back of a car).
- grave robbing:
- Song Title: Grave Robbing U.S.A.
- Lyric: "I’m gonna pull your body from your grave, Cause I’m graverobbing U.S.A." (Though the song title it's self is enough)
- cross-dressing:
- Song Title: Kill Miss America
- Lyric: "I wanna be a fucking prize winning drag queen" (the first line of the song)

Content was removed again
[edit]By 212.121.200.204, No reason was given; also song names that may be viewed as offencive were removed from the article by the same user; Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_censored Doktor Wilhelm 21:37, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Associated Acts
[edit]I feel like some associated acts are missing from the right hand box. I would suggest FDQ From Planet 13, Bourbon Crow and even the Wednesday 13 page (as it counts as a band, even if it's a solo act) be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.169.6.27 (talk) 03:40, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- The associated acts parameter is discussed on Template:Infobox musical artist, which says, "The following uses of this field should be avoided: Association of groups with members' solo careers, Groups with only one member in common", which means FDQ, Bourbon Crow and Wednesday 13 should not be listed in the infobox.
