Location dispute
[edit]Edit wars are no fun, but I do think that the disputed status of this locale should be noted, as it is for many peaks in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. How about this in the "location" field: Jammu and Kashmir, India[1]
- ^ India is in de facto control of this region of Kashmir; the Indian claim is disputed by Pakistan. See e.g. The Future of Kashmir on the BBC website.

a northernmost record?
[edit]I just found out that the top of Saser Kangri (No. 1) is a mere 22 metres further away from the inner Earth's centre than if you are on sealevel at the Equator line (See: Equatorial bulge). Is this the northernmost place that is farther from sea-level at the Equator? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stat-ist-ikk (talk • contribs) 13:01, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
