- It has been fixed, I think; refer to Old Nubian language for details on the orthography. You, sir, are of course invited to contribute to Wikipedia! Kind regards, — mark ✎ 18:27, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Language or languages?
[edit]Especially when including the rather distinct Hill Nubian cluster, I think it doesn't make much sense to speak of the Nubian language. If no-one objects, I'll move this article to Nubian languages tomorrow. — mark ✎ 01:22, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- ...and any help in subsequently fixing the thirteen links to Nubian language (i.e. making them point to the plural form instead) would of course be truly appreciated... :) — mark ✎ 01:33, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, forgot this one. Just completed the move, fixed the redirects. Thirteen redirects are not that many now that Wikipedia is returning to a decent speed. — mark ✎ 20:20, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)
"SESCO" or "ISESCO"?
[edit]There is reference here and in the Nobiin language article to "the extended SESCO system" of Arabic transcription. I have been looking for info on this and wonder if ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) is intended instead? They sponsored some work on extended Arabic orthographies.--A12n 20:18, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Which dialect(s) of Nubian did Hamza El Din sing in in his albums and performances? Badagnani 20:19, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
section Orthography
[edit]The text of this section talks of "currently active" proposals but was written January 2005 - is this still the case? --Gruenman (talk) 19:57, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
