- Reach consensus on the page's talk page and then request an edit by adding {{Edit protected}} to the talk page.
- If the talk page is protected too, use WP:RFED.
- For minor tweaks of the Main Page, make a request on Talk:Main Page.
- To report errors on the Main Page, use Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors.

- Reach consensus on the page's talk page and then request an edit by adding {{Edit protected}} to the talk page.

Please note that administrators cannot...
- Resolve disputes.
- Try the dispute resolution process instead.
- However, administrators, or other experienced users, may be willing to informally offer an opinion if you ask them privately (for example, via user talk page).
- Fix bugs.
- You can report them at Phabricator.
- Make someone an administrator.
- Only bureaucrats can do this, and only following community consensus at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship.
- Remove administrator status from someone.
- This is done by bureaucrats or stewards, and only on the request of the Arbitration Committee or by request of the administrator.
- Query the Wikipedia database.
- Ask at Wikipedia:SQL query requests, or download the database and run them yourself.
- Reassign edits or make name changes.
- Ask a global renamer at Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Delete accounts.
- This is not possible. See Wikipedia:Username policy#Deleting an account.
- Protect pages on a specific version, or "from" a specific user, or decide which version is "correct" or "NPOV".
