Talk:Entropy (ecology)
Definition (help!)
[edit]The translation is complete, but I do not quite follow the mathematical derivation. There seems to be inconsistencies in the indices and even the assumptions, and I do not have enough knowledge in this field to make the corrections. Experts please help.

- Article: zh:熵 (生态学)
- Corresponding English-language article: Entropy (ecology).
- Worth doing because: a supplementary to existing explanation to Entropy.

Gibberish
[edit]This page is close to being gibberish. The mathematics makes no sense. It would be better to remove this page and add anything useful that's supposed to be in this page to other pages on entropy.
I agree -- "If there are q individuals for each species, the population will be q1 + q2 + ... + qj + ... + qn. The number of individuals is qn = nlogq" makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe this article should be ditched and redirected to the Shannon index article, which appears to be on the same topic? PirateAngel (talk) 12:56, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
